In the second long-form solo piano work of our third edition, BIFEM presented the world premiere of composer James Hullick’s Rotation Post- Sapien. Fusing heavily prepared piano with exquisitely crafted live electronics, Hullick’s work is widely recognised for its exploratory nature and continues BIFEM’s re-examination of the piano, which began in 2014 with Phillipe Manoury’s Pluton.
