For the second half of their BIFEM residency, Adelaide Symphony orchestra’s Saturday night programme featured two rarely-performed iconic 20th-century North American pieces: Morton Feldman’s intimate portrait and homage "For Samuel Beckett "and Canadian composer Claude Vivier's hauntingly beautiful "Lonely Child", sung by the extraordinary Australian soprano Jane Sheldon, under the baton of US conductor Eric Dudley.
